Sales Business Development Representative at Able

Prospect mid-market companies via outbound research and multi-channel outreach to build qualified sales opportunities and develop repeatable prospecting processes.

Junior Remote Posted about 14 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Back in 2012, we were a group of engineers and designers who decided we wanted to build things, so we did. Able started as an engineering and product hub building for a portfolio of early-stage startups. We built many relationships while developing products that were thoughtful, effective, and genuinely useful. But, since then, we’ve grown… and so has our ambition.

Now, we’re entering our next chapter, defined by applied AI. AI is a powerful force in the end-to-end software development cycle, and we’re creating practices that allow us to deliver software fast and more effectively than traditional approaches, creating meaningful value for our partners. Today, our builder mindset is driving us to become an AI-native organization across every function. We’re still evolving, and that’s part of the opportunity. If you want to build, learn, and tackle challenges alongside an ambitious team, let’s build together.

This position is 100% remote and open to candidates based in the U.S. or Latin America.

About the Role

As our Business Development Representative, you’ll own the top of the sales funnel, identifying target companies, reaching the right decision-makers, and turning outbound conversations into qualified opportunities. This is a highly outbound role, focused on prospecting mid-market companies, building targeted lists, and creating opportunities from scratch. You’ll work closely with sales leadership and our technical team to understand prospects’ AI needs and help build a repeatable outbound playbook for Able.

What We’re Looking For

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting: Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, build account lists, and proactively create new opportunities.
  • Run multi-channel outreach: Engage prospects through email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels using personalized, thoughtful messaging.
  • Qualify opportunities: Understand a prospect’s business, challenges, and potential AI needs to determine whether there is a strong fit.
  • Book qualified meetings: Schedule conversations with sales leadership and provide clear context so each handoff starts with the right information.
  • Handle inbound leads: Respond to inbound interest, qualify prospects, and move relevant opportunities into the pipeline.
  • Build the outbound playbook: Track what messaging, personas, industries, and approaches are working and help turn those learnings into a repeatable process.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline: Keep prospect information, follow-ups, and activity organized so the pipeline remains accurate and actionable.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of BDR/SDR experience in B2B software, technology, or a similar environment.
  • A strong track record of outbound prospecting and lead generation, you’re comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify the right companies, personas, and business triggers.
  • AI familiarity or an AI-native mindset. You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you should be genuinely interested in AI and able to understand enough to have relevant conversations with prospects about their needs and challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior decision-makers.
  • A data-driven and curious approach to prospecting: you know how to research, prioritize, and test different approaches to find the right prospects.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage environment where processes, tools, and messaging are still being built and refined
  • Experience selling across multiple industries. Exposure to mid-market companies, private equity, or family offices is especially valuable.
  • Experience working with CRM and prospecting tools to manage accounts, track outreach, maintain follow-ups, and keep pipeline data accurate.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means consistently creating high-quality opportunities, learning quickly from the market, and helping Able build an outbound motion that can scale.

You’ll know you’re succeeding when you’re consistently reaching the right people, having relevant conversations, and turning those conversations into qualified meetings. You’ll also bring insights back to the team, what messaging works, which prospects are responding, and where the biggest opportunities are.

You won’t simply execute an existing playbook,  you’ll help build it.

Able is powered by curious, thoughtful people who care about what they build and how they build it. We’re actively investing in our team through AI training, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on experimentation to ensure everyone grows alongside the technology.

This position is 100% remote and open to candidates based in the U.S. or Latin America. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are a requirement. As a team member, you can expect:

  • To work 40 hours per week, and be available during normal business hours as needed.
  • Payments made in USD.
  • 18 days of PTO per year, observance of local holidays, and an annual break between Christmas and New Years.
  • Wellness + Remote Stipend
  • AI Voucher

About Able

Able builds technology products in a portfolio model. We believe that people, teams, and processes are more important than the ideas themselves, so we’ve focused on bringing great people together, and investing in their growth.

We’ve built products in a variety of industries. Everything from media to finance to toys to healthcare. Sometimes we work with management teams to help their businesses grow faster or unlock value using technology. Other times we start or buy businesses outright. Each time, we look for opportunities to leverage technology built at the portfolio-level to drive value faster.

Able is committed to inclusion and diversity and is an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

This is but the beginning of a conversation we’d love to have with you.

Apply, and let’s get this adventure started!

Sales Business Development Representative at Able

Prospect mid-market companies via outbound outreach, qualify AI-related opportunities, and book meetings with sales leadership to build a repeatable sales funnel.

Product Lifecheq: Associate Product Manager (Remote)

Associate Product Manager executes product initiatives focused on adviser productivity, managing feature development, metrics instrumentation, experiments, and feature rollouts.

Junior Remote Posted about 17 hours ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Western Cape, Cape Town, 8000 South Africa

About Lifecheq

Lifecheq is transforming financial advice and insurance distribution across emerging markets through our cutting-edge technology platform. As Africa's largest advice platform, we empower over 8,000 financial advisers to deliver holistic, personalised financial planning to the underserved mass affluent market.

Our holistic financial advice platform has achieved remarkable results in driving record adviser productivity for our partners. Backed by leading investors, we're expanding across Africa and Southeast Asia – with a mission to create one million sustainable middle-income jobs for financial advisers.

The Opportunity

Own the execution of initiatives that drive adviser productivity - moving more advisers from the mid band into the productive band, and keeping productive advisers there.

What You'll Do

Work with your Group Product Manager to translate product strategy and experiment priorities into well-scoped tickets, timelines, and delivered features.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the adviser productivity funnel - know how many advisers are in each band, what is moving them up, and where they are getting stuck.

Develop and maintain a view of your key metrics and build instrumentation into the products you manage so you have an ongoing view of performance; know when a number looks wrong before it is flagged to you.

Gather ongoing feedback from advisers and managers directly; build the observational habits to understand where the pipeline is failing and bring findings to the Group PM with a point of view, not just a summary.

Own the alert and nudge pipeline end to end - template creation, regulatory approval submissions, staging tests, production deployment, and delivery quality - ensuring advisers receive the right recommendations reliably.

Manage rollout logistics for new features: determine sequencing, verify adviser access across branches and regions, and troubleshoot activation issues.

Set up experiment infrastructure as directed by the Group PM - cohort assignment, data feeds, template creation, tracking configuration - and take responsibility for data quality and delivery reliability throughout the experiment window.

Compile clean experiment data packages for the Group PM to analyse and interpret; manage the operational handoff when successful experiments move to production.

Work with lead engineers to coordinate delivery sequencing, dependencies, and deployment schedules; maintain a well-groomed backlog with clear acceptance criteria and flag risks early with a proposed solution attached.

Take responsibility for the business outcomes of the initiatives you run: if adviser productivity is not moving, understand why and bring a plan to address it.

Ensure automated reports are accurate and distributed reliably; maintain product analytics dashboards and coordinate data logistics with external partners.

What We're Looking For

  • You have a four-year degree or equivalent
  • You are an analytical, data-driven, critical thinker who can unpack a problem clearly, develop and communicate a hypotheses, frame experiments and test them rigorously
  • You have had some exposure to a commercial or customer facing role; you are very open to interacting with customers and financial advisers regularly, and are passionate about using technology to solve problems
  • You can communicate well with team members and stakeholders on deliverables and approach, demonstrating the ability to communicate and listen appropriately depending on the audience. We expect a good grounding in effective written communication in a technical context
  • You strive for success, are keen to learn and develop, are collaborative with a can-do attitude, and can build positive relationships
  • You have business acumen and have a grasp of the key concepts of how a business makes money, and you enjoy seeing your work make a tangible business impact
  • You are experienced with and are comfortable engaging with senior executives at large and small companies - you’d be quite okay being asked to give a presentation to execs at a listed company in your first three months of work.

What We Offer

  • A market-competitive salary

  • A collaborative, mission-driven environment with exposure to cutting-edge fintech initiatives

  • Opportunities to work on impactful projects with leading partners and stakeholders

  • Career growth within a rapidly scaling organisation

  • The chance to help shape the future of financial services delivery

  • We’re a remote-first business, with a setup that optimises for async work
