Marketing Freelance PPC Strategist – EMEA (German-speaking) at Brafton Inc.

Develop and execute paid media strategy and Google Ads campaigns across EMEA markets, managing client relationships and optimizing performance in German.

Mid Remote Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Brafton is one of the world’s leading content marketing firms, with offices in Boston, London, Toronto and Sydney. We aspire to continually raise the bar on what people consider “marketing content.” We create result-focused strategies and content to drive SEO, social engagement and leads for our clients. Our teams continuously build expertise across new media formats, including video, blogs, infographics and web design.

About the role

We’re looking for a freelance PPC strategist to own paid media strategy and day-to-day campaign management for a B2B client’s EMEA business.

This is not a translation or copy-adaptation role. You will be the strategist on the account and the client’s primary day-to-day contact, working with them in German. You’ll build and run the EMEA strategy independently of our US and APAC programmes, while plugging into Brafton’s wider global team for knowledge sharing, SEO input and shared learnings.

We want someone with the judgment and confidence to build the right approach for EMEA from first principles.

Scope of work

  • Own end-to-end strategy, build and optimisation of Google Ads across EMEA — Search, Performance Max and Display, with additional channels considered where the case is there.

  • Join regular calls, reporting sessions and written updates in German.

  • Write, adapt and test German ad copy that holds brand tone and reads natively — not translated-sounding.

  • Build campaign structures that work across multiple EMEA markets, languages, currencies and time zones, and keep budget pacing sensible across them.

  • Brief and coordinate with separately contracted native French and Italian localisation support (you do not need to speak those languages yourself).

  • Feed into landing page and localisation decisions alongside our SEO team, including market-appropriate messaging and hreflang / localised page considerations.

  • Produce regional reporting that stands on its own for the client while rolling up cleanly into our global PPC reporting framework.

  • Partner with our US and APAC strategists to share learnings in both directions, without being dependent on their playbook.

Core competencies

  • Native or near-native German (C2), spoken and written, with the confidence to lead client calls and present performance in German. Fluent professional English for collaboration with our team.

  • Proven hands-on Google Ads experience across Search, Performance Max and Display, in a B2B lead generation context (not primarily e-commerce).

  • Genuine local keyword research capability for German-speaking markets — using in-market tools, search behaviour knowledge and judgment, not machine translation of English lists.

  • Strong analysis of German-language search term and keyword data to drive optimisations, negative keyword strategy and match type decisions.

  • Sound conversion tracking and measurement practice, including GA4, EU consent requirements and GDPR-compliant tracking setups.

  • Comfortable in Google Ads Editor, GA4 and Looker Studio (or equivalent reporting tooling).

Strategic and analytical capabilities

  • Able to build an EMEA paid media strategy from first principles — targeting, account structure, bidding and messaging — rather than executing a plan handed down.

  • Willing and able to challenge or adapt global playbook tactics where they don’t suit local market norms, competitive dynamics or the client’s brand-risk tolerance, and to explain that reasoning clearly to both client and agency stakeholders.

  • Strong client-facing communicator: can give clear written context behind optimisations and hold a strategic conversation, not just report numbers.

  • Comfortable collaborating asynchronously across time zones with an English-speaking team.

Professional requirements

  • 4-5 years in paid media, ideally agency-side, with experience managing international or multi-market campaigns.

  • Experience in a client facing role - you will be communicating with the client regularly.

  • Track record with multinational or B2B clients where German-speaking or wider EMEA markets were a core target region.

  • Reliable overlap with UK business hours and some overlap with US Eastern time for internal calls.

Nice to have

  • Experience in B2B manufacturing

  • Experience working alongside an in-house or agency SEO team.

  • Familiarity with paid channels beyond Google in EMEA (LinkedIn, Bing, local platforms).

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Marketing Regional Activation Manager- Southeast at The Farmer's Dog

Plans and executes regional marketing activations, events, and partnerships to build brand awareness and drive business growth across the Southeast.

Mid Posted 1 day ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Who We Are

The Farmer’s Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. We’re starting by radically improving the $90 billion pet food industry, replacing bags of highly-processed pellets with a personalized subscription service that sends complete and balanced, freshly-made dog food directly to customers’ doors. Our ultimate goal is to create innovative, delightful and personalized experiences across all aspects of pet care, and we believe our direct-to-consumer business model, holistic approach to growth, and dynamic culture uniquely position us to shepherd this backwards industry into the future.

To date, The Farmer’s Dog has delivered over 1 billion meals nationwide and raised over $150M in funding to help us build a company as healthy as the dogs who are eating those meals. Join us as we continue to develop ways of bringing peace of mind to customers, health to their companions, and much-needed change to the way people feed and care for their pets.

#LongLiveDogs

What We Stand For and Where You’ll Come In

As the Regional Activation Manager for the Southeast, you’ll be responsible for bringing our brand to life across key markets throughout the Southeast region. This role leads the planning and execution of regional activations, events, partnerships, and market-level initiatives that build brand awareness, deepen consumer engagement, and drive business results. Working closely with cross-functional teams and local partners, the Regional Activation Manager will translate broader brand strategy into impactful, locally relevant experiences while ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the region.

One Team: We don’t think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”. Beyond denoting skill sets and areas of expertise, we don’t think departments matter. We’d rather align ourselves to the goals we’re working to achieve and make sure we have necessary subject matter expertise to drive meaningful impact. We strive to orient ourselves around customer problems TOGETHER – getting the right people, with the right context, in the right rooms/Zooms to solve problems holistically.

We are skeptical about everything and precious about nothing:  Ideas can and should come from anywhere, and we aren’t tied to our own. We proactively source input. We talk to our customers and leads regularly and are quick to change course if we know there’s a better or more impactful way to solve problems.

We consider the customer journey in all of our decisions:  We know that no interaction exists in a silo and therefore understand how important every single one is.  We ensure our strategy sets prospective and new customers up for success and drives long-term retention.  We answer questions and address problems early and proactively.  We understand the value of different channels, initiatives, and messages and know how to articulate impact and advocate for prioritization holistically.

We Execute For Impact: We don’t subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We’re uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be. Similarly, we don’t subscribe to rigid or classical expectations of roles – i.e. acquisition is hyper-focused on improving customer retention and experience.

We Are Focused and Work Without Assumption: We are not beholden to ideas. We have goals and believe everything beyond that is a series of hypotheses to validate. To that end, we seek to work in sequence and not in parallel. We constantly ask ourselves, “what’s the most important hypothesis I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that hypothesis as fast as possible?”. We rarely have timelines/deadlines and are constantly taking in new information and adjusting our priorities accordingly. We don’t expect to be perfect the first time.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Own end-to-end execution of activations in your region: venue sourcing, vendor/staffing coordination, on-site logistics, and day-of management.
  • Localize national campaign concepts for your market’s audience.
  • Manage regional budget, ensuring spend tracks to plan and ROI is measurable.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners, venues, and vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders.
  • Travel within the region as needed (up to ~50-60%) for on-site activation support.

We’re Excited About You Because

  • You have at least two years of relevant experience.
  • You’re a builder and executor who loves turning big-picture brand strategy into memorable, on-the-ground experiences.
  • You understand how to bring a brand to life locally, adapting national priorities to resonate with consumers and communities across the Southeast.
  • You’re a natural relationship builder who can develop strong partnerships with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and local stakeholders.
  • You’re comfortable owning activations from concept through execution, managing timelines, budgets, logistics, and partners along the way.
  • You have a strong pulse on culture, consumer trends, and what’s happening in your markets, and you know how to turn those insights into action.
  • You are able to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, naturally curious and proactive self-starter, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and solutions
  • You’re an owner, have excellent problem-solving skills and can prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail
  • You are detail-oriented and proactive, you thrive as a self-starter and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • You’re a skilled communicator and have the ability to absorb and distill complexity into simple terms to drive decision making.
  • You’re comfortable spending significant time in-market and traveling throughout the Southeast to support activations, partners, and key opportunities.
  • You’re based in Nashville or Boca.
  • You love dogs.

Office Guidelines:

While this role is remote and regional, at times you may be required to travel to our main offices.

Our Belonging Philosophy:

At TFD, we believe Belonging is a shared commitment to creating a workplace where every person feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. When people feel a true sense of belonging, they do their best work, take smart risks, and bring forward diverse perspectives — leading to stronger decisions and deeper relationships.

We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone’s welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there’s space for you here. There’s no one way to show up at the dog park— just shared space, mutual respect, and the freedom to be yourself. Being included is just the beginning, it’s about contributing your voice, growing through challenges, and building trust through shared goals. This philosophy guides how we lead, how we hire, how we communicate, and how we grow.

We continuously evaluate to ensure we are creating a consistent experience that cultivates belonging for all employees, from hiring and performance reviews to talent development. We also believe Belonging happens in everyday moments of connection; lunch with a new teammate, a shared laugh, or a quick story about your weekend. Our structure includes biannual employee surveys, manager training, TFD camps, and support from Humans to ensure we’re listening and learning from our Team.

Together, these efforts reflect what Belonging means at TFD: a culture where everyone can thrive.

A Few of Our Best Benefits

  • Dog-friendly office in SoHo
  • Market-competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Comprehensive Healthcare, Dental, and Vision
  • Company supported mental health benefits
  • 12 week paid parental leave
  • Competitive 401k plan with company match
  • Flexible PTO
  • Discounted fresh food for your pup
  • Your pet interrupting video calls (and in-person meetings) is now a feature, not a bug
