Engineer Senior Airworthiness Engineer - Autonomous Airpower at Anduril Industries

Senior Airworthiness Engineer develops and authors certification plans for autonomous aircraft, manages compliance documentation, and leads technical reviews across engineering disciplines.

Senior Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

The Test and Evaluation team at Anduril works across the entire spectrum of products and business lines, as well as all flight operations and test range management. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new production acceptance testing, sub-component qualification testing and much more. In short, if it involves test, we support it. If you are interested in working in an extremely innovative and fast paced environment, where your work directly makes an impact and difference in the products that are fielded, this a fantastic opportunity. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will work as an Airworthiness Engineer to develop and author Airworthiness certification and conformance plans for developmental and production aircraft, supporting Flight Releases, Type Certification, tailored airworthiness, and FAA general use airspace integration across all services.
  • You and your team will perform technical airworthiness (AW) planning, tracking and verification support within a digital environment. This includes the development and negotiation of airworthiness bases of certification, means of compliance, and other certification activities. You will be responsible for cultivating total-system Airworthiness relationships between engineers and other technical authorities, including our customer partners.
  • Airworthiness engineering duties include guiding technical reviews with your airworthiness engineers and engineering disciplines across the total system design, development and test processes.
  • You are expected to perform functional and process analyses, requirements allocation and definition studies with program engineers and customer representatives. You will facilitate all interactions which translate customer requirements into criteria and derived requirements.
  • You will ensure the logical and systematic realization of customer airworthiness certification objectives, to include the tailoring of traditional Airworthiness processes, and continuously evaluate and update Airworthiness plans with new realized solutions to meet program needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Faced with numerous Airworthiness assessments you will proactively support and guide all design development towards Airworthiness compliance and support all processes leading to a successful issuance of a Military Flight Release (MFR) or other customer specific airworthiness approval. Subsequent to this you will actively solicit all engineering and systems data required to support iterative and on-going Airworthiness Boards, technical interchange meetings, and risk assessments.
  • You will develop, author and maintain all Airworthiness activities in a digital environment which is interconnected with system requirements, program schedules, flight test point matrix, and also risk assessments. Using this digital infrastructure you will demonstrate the ability to perform statistical analysis or program performance and leverage your digital tools to provide input to the flight test program execution schedule.
  • Faced with technical and execution challenges, you will be expected to develop creative solutions to unique problems. You will be biased for action — you are empowered to engage your team to solve and fix any problem you encounter.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or aviation related engineering degree.
  • 8+ years airworthiness engineering experience.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with DoW and FAA airworthiness authorities.
  • Experience with DoW Airworthiness Policy Directives, Instructions, and Airworthiness Bulletins
  • Proven experience working DoW and FAA Airworthiness processes, including MIL-HDBK-516 series documents, throughout the life cycle of a developmental aircraft to achieve successful program completion.
  • Experience developing and managing Airworthiness plans, tracking of Airworthiness criterions, and similar activities.
  • Must have experience with manned or UAS developmental Military aircraft.
  • Ability to develop and execute Airworthiness Certification process improvement initiatives.
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on technical subjects.
  • Strong computer and technical software experience (MATLAB, JIRA, DOORS, MS Office, CATIA, 3DX)
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or aviation related technical discipline
  • 15+ years airworthiness engineering experience.
  • Systems engineering and Airworthiness experience with large UAS airworthiness authorizations.
  • Previously held a position as Airworthiness Engineering Lead or Airworthiness Engineer
  • Airworthiness experience on a team that executed first flight on a manned or large UAS developmental aircraft.
  • Experience working with the Department of War (DoW) as a contractor.

Engineer Senior Fullstack Engineer (ReactJS, NodeJS) at SwingDev—a hippo company

Senior fullstack engineer builds end-to-end user-facing features using React, Node.js, and owns technical direction within cross-functional product teams.

Senior Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

SwingDev—a hippo company is the Polish branch of a fast-growing InsurTech product company – Hippo Insurance. We’re here to make home insurance smarter and more proactive, using tech to bring fresh solutions. We also create digital products that support our customers, always focusing on what really makes an impact.

Putting a lot of effort into hiring top-tier professionals is a proof that we care a lot about tech experience, the attitude, human approach, and what we could call „culture fit”.

„SwingDev is all about people” - yes, it may sound a bit cliche. But whether we’re writing code or just hanging out, we know that people are at the heart of everything we do. We like to have a good time and keep things light, even when we’re tackling big projects. We could brag about what’s making us special, but we’ve boiled it down to two key ingredients: mature, companionable people who, rather than compete, prefer to inspire and have each other’s backs; a culture of trust, empathy, and positivity that keeps us together, lets us interact as teammates and friends, and truly enjoy the ride.

So if you’re a Senior Fullstack Engineer (frontend leaning) looking to shake things up and have a good time while you’re at it, you’ve come to the right place. 🚀

About the role:

At Hippo Insurance, we’ve got almost 20 tech charters up and running — and we’re still growing fast. That’s why hiring for back-end roles is a never-ending story here, and we usually have several recruitments going on at the same time. Joining us means becoming part of a product company in the insurance technology space — building and owning long-term solutions.

You’ll join one of our product charters as a Sr. Fullstack Engineer (FE leaning) who owns features end to end – from an ambiguous problem statement, through design and implementation across the stack, to production and the metrics that follow. You’ll work in a cross-functional team alongside Product, Design, QA, and other engineers, with real influence over what we build and how we build it.

If you’ve ever been curious about how insurance actually works under the hood, this is a great place to find out!

What will you do?

  • You’ll design and build user-facing features end to end – React frontends, the Node.js services and BFF layers behind them, and their interactions with data stores and third-party APIs.
  • You’ll own technical direction in your domain: you’ll break down large, fuzzy problems into shippable increments and make the architecture calls that come with them.
  • You’ll partner with Product Managers and Designers early, challenging requirements and shaping scope before a line of code is written.
  • You’ll support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
  • You’ll deploy your software using industry-standard tooling like Kubernetes clusters, and Lambda functions.
  • You’ll investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior, then propose and implement timely fixes to minimize user impact.
  • You’ll care deeply about security in everything you do and constantly raise the baseline of how we defend our users’ data against external threats and themselves.
  • You’ll implement robust automated test suites across the test pyramid to ensure high quality and a low failure rate of delivered code.
  • You’ll mentor mid-level engineers, give high-quality code review feedback, and act as a go-to person for engineers who lean more heavily to one side of the stack.
  • You’ll have huge creative freedom and the ability to put your mark on the project – and you’ll take ownership and responsibility for what you do.
  • You’ll have a lot of chances to develop your skills as well as learn a lot about how tech business is done in the US.

We might be a match if you

  • Have at least 5 years of hands-on commercial experience building web applications, with real depth on both sides of the stack – React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Have designed and shipped production services, not just consumed them – you’re comfortable with API design, microservices, and system design patterns.
  • Possess a good, practical knowledge of at least one relational database system, e.g. PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server.
  • Have experience implementing the test pyramid (unit, integration, e2e tests).
  • Are an independent problem-solver who’s comfortable with ambiguity and knows when to ask instead of guess.
  • Can lead discussions and decisions regarding software design and architecture, and explain the trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Can demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership in delivering high-quality work.
  • Utilize good security practices effectively.
  • Enjoy making other engineers better – through code review, pairing, and mentoring.
  • Show readiness to learn and expand your skill set as required by ongoing projects.
  • Have a sense of humor – seriously, it matters here.
  • Have a good command of English (written & spoken).
  • Are available to work in different timezones – we prioritize everyone’s personal time and work-life fit, but since we work across Poland and the US (Austin, San Francisco), occasional evening meetings may be necessary (on average 2 days per week).

What you’ll be using after joining us

  • TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js,
  • PostgreSQL and other data stores,
  • Docker and container-based deployment technologies (e.g. Kubernetes/Fargate),
  • Grafana, Prometheus, Coralogix for monitoring,
  • AWS for infrastructure,
  • Automated software testing on module/integration/system levels,
  • AI tools (Devin, Devin Desktop, Claude).

You will get extra points for:

  • Experience with data analysis and BigQuery,
  • Real AI use case production experience,
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small team.

Recruitment process:

  • Send us your CV – it’s the best way for us to get to know you.
  • Meet Gabi, one of our Recruiters.
  • Complete a 30-minute one-way interview.
  • Join a Live Coding session with our Senior Engineers.
  • Have a chat with your potential Engineering Manager.
  • Meet on the final stage with Marcin and Alicja.
  • and
 welcome aboard! 👋

Engineer Senior Backend Engineer at hyperexponential

Senior Backend Engineer builds and scales AI-powered SaaS platform for insurance pricing and underwriting decisions.

Senior Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About hyperexponential (hx)

At hyperexponential, we’re building the AI-powered platform that enables the world’s most critical decisions in a $7 trillion industry - which risks to take, and how to price them. These are the decisions that shape real-world outcomes: whether rockets successfully launch into space, autonomous vehicles make it to market, or communities recover after major storms.

Until now, insurance has been making billion-dollar decisions using outdated tools. We’re changing that. Our platform brings together data, AI, and human expertise to give insurers the fastest path from submission to decision - helping them move faster, act smarter, and take on more risk with confidence.

Backed by a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we’re scaling globally - already trusted by nearly 50 of the world’s largest insurers, with zero churn and billions in premiums flowing through hx.

What began as a single product in one market has rapidly evolved into a multi-product, multi-territory platform powering every stage of pricing and underwriting. AI is at the core of what we do - from building the world’s first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance (think GitHub Copilot with a PhD in actuarial science) to shaping agentic workflows that reinvent how this industry operates.

What makes hx different is the people who build it. Here, impact isn’t tied to title or tenure; it’s defined by the challenges you take on and the discipline you bring. Surrounded by peers who stretch you, you’ll do the best, hardest work of your life in a company engineered to endure.

If that sounds like you, join us in building what comes next.

About the Engineering team

At hyperexponential, engineering is at the heart of our mission to transform the insurance industry. Our engineers build and scale hx Renew, the SaaS platform that enables insurers to model complex risks and make smarter pricing decisions at speed. By combining deep technical expertise with creativity, the team pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in insurance technology.

Within engineering, our product teams are cross-functional, pairing frontend and backend engineers with designers and product managers. This enables end-to-end ownership of features, with engineers contributing across design, architecture, implementation, and testing. Collaboration is a core part of how we work, ensuring that every release is both technically sound and valuable to our users.

As a Frontend Engineer embedded in a Product Team, you will focus on building robust, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for hx Renew’s workflow and admin management areas. You will extend and maintain hx’s shared component library and design system, while collaborating closely with peers across engineering and design to deliver seamless experiences. This is a role where you will combine hands-on technical work with meaningful influence on our frontend practices and standards.

About the role

Underwriters at the world’s largest insurers still do much of their work in spreadsheets, email threads, and systems that were never designed for the decisions they are making. We are rebuilding that from the ground up.

You will join the Workflow Underwriting stream, building the next generation of our underwriting platform. This is not a platform with AI features bolted on. We are designing it around the agents we build, which means the architecture, the domain model, and the interaction patterns are all genuinely open questions. You will help answer them.

You will contribute at code, architecture, and domain level from your first weeks, and you will talk directly to the underwriters who use what you build.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and operate backend services in Kotlin or Java, and own them in production.

  • Turn ambiguous underwriting problems into simple, reliable software. Much of the work is deciding what to build, not just building it.

  • Shape architectural decisions: APIs, domain models, persistence, reliability, observability, and how the platform evolves without collapsing under its own weight.

  • Build real depth in the underwriting domain, to the point where you can challenge a requirement rather than only implement it.

  • Design and build agent-assisted workflows, and make judgement calls about where an agent should act, where it should advise, and where a human must stay in control.

  • Use AI coding tools, including Claude, as a core part of how you work. You delegate substantial work to them and you remain accountable for the quality, security, and correctness of everything you ship.

  • Work across boundaries with frontend engineers, product partners, and client-facing teams, and step outside your specialism when the problem demands it.

  • Give and take direct feedback, and raise the engineering bar around you.

What we are looking for

  • Strong professional experience building and running backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another JVM language.

  • Judgement in architecture and system design: a feel for what to build now, what to defer, and what will hurt in two years.

  • Evidence of shipping software that solved a real customer or business problem, ideally something you owned end to end.

  • A self-starting approach. You find the highest-value problem rather than waiting for a ticket.

  • Clear communication. You can hold the same conversation with an underwriter, an executive, and an engineer, and adjust for each.

  • Genuine appetite for problems with no known answer, and comfort working without a precedent to copy.

  • Confident, responsible use of AI coding tools, with a critical eye on their output.

  • Receptiveness to feedback. We give it directly and often, and we expect you to give it back.

Helpful, not required

  • Experience in insurance, underwriting, or another complex regulated domain. We will teach you the domain. We cannot teach curiosity about it.

  • Experience across both backend and frontend.

  • Experience building workflow, decision-support, or agent-assisted products.

  • Experience working directly with enterprise clients.

Why this role

The problem is hard and largely unsolved, the users are specialists who will tell you exactly what is wrong with your work, and the platform decisions being made now will hold for years. If you want scope to shape something significant rather than maintain something finished, this is that role.

We are also investing seriously in AI-native engineering rather than treating it as a side experiment, so how you work here will look different from how you worked two years ago.

Benefits

  • Share Options at a highly successful Series B company

  • 25 days of non-working + Polish bank holidays

  • ÂŁ5,000 GBP budget for Learning & Development

  • Mental Health Support and Therapy via Spectrum Life

  • Optional for you: access to Private Healthcare via Luxmed + Multisport (fully funded by yourself as B2B Contractor)

  • Top-spec laptop (MacOS or Windows)

Interview process

  1. Initial chat with our Talent team (30 minutes).

  2. Manager Interview (60 minutes).

  3. Technical Assessment (e.g., code review, system design) (120 minutes).

  4. Values Interview with Senior Tech Leadership (60 minutes).

  5. We offer!

Our commitment to Diversity

hxers are at the centre of everything we build. We know that progress depends on diverse perspectives, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and make an impact. We recognise there is always more to do, and we take responsibility for shaping a workplace that is not only diverse but genuinely inclusive.

Diversity is not just the right thing to do, it is key to solving the complex challenges we choose to take on. By welcoming people from all backgrounds and experiences, we strengthen our ability to question assumptions, push boundaries, and design solutions that endure.

If you’re energised by complexity and motivated to grow, we encourage you to apply and join our global team.

Next steps

If this opportunity resonates with you, we encourage you to apply or share it with your connections! Our dedicated talent team reviews all applications, and we promise to provide feedback regardless of the outcome.

Engineer Full-Stack (PHP/JS) Developer at Talentuch

Full-stack PHP/JavaScript developer builds and maintains enterprise wiki platforms, participating actively in architecture decisions and code reviews as an autonomous team member.

Senior Remote Posted about 13 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

Location & English requirements

This is a fully remote position within the European Union, with priority given to candidates based in Poland. Other EU locations may also be considered.

Strong English (Upper-Intermediate/C1 or higher) is required — all calls, discussions, and documentation happen fully in English, and you’ll be expected to actively participate in technical conversations: asking questions, raising concerns, proposing alternatives. If your English is below this level, you likely won’t feel comfortable in this role’s day-to-day communication — so please keep that in mind before applying.

Who we’re looking for

This is not a “heads-down, ticket-by-ticket” role. Our client’s team is a well-established international group of up to 50 people, and they’re explicit about what doesn’t work for them: people who stay quiet in discussions, who wait to be told exactly what to do, or who seem to be splitting focus with other projects. What they want instead:

  • Someone who speaks up - asks clarifying questions, flags risks, and isn’t afraid to challenge an approach if they see a better one.

  • Someone who treats this as their project, not a rotation - full commitment, no split attention across other engagements.

  • Someone comfortable operating with a good degree of autonomy, while staying closely aligned with the team.

  • Someone who brings ideas to code reviews and architecture discussions, not just implementations.

Required skills

  • Commercial experience with PHP and JavaScript, Middle+/Senior level

  • Experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue.js preferred)

  • Strong understanding of OOP, interfaces, and clean code principles

  • Experience with PSR-4 standards and service-oriented architecture (SOA)

  • Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit or similar)

  • Upper-Intermediate+ English, spoken and written

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate proactively: asking questions, giving feedback, contributing opinions in team settings

Will be a plus

  • Experience with MediaWiki

  • Experience with enterprise web platforms or CMS

  • Prior experience working in distributed international teams (not local outsourcing setups)

Project description

Our client is a German product company focused on enterprise wiki solutions based on MediaWiki, used by companies worldwide for internal documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management.

This is a long-term product, not a short-term outsourcing project - the team has been building and refining this platform for years, with a strong focus on code quality, usability, and sustainable architecture. The team (Germany + EU, up to 50 people) genuinely values open communication and healthy work-life balance - but that culture depends on people who participate in it, not just execute tasks silently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer-specific features for BlueSpice

  • Continuously improve and modernize the product

  • Support the team with bug fixing and error analysis

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code

  • Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions — bring your perspective, don’t just approve

  • Work closely and communicatively with the German product team

Technology stack

PHP, JavaScript, Vue.js, MediaWiki, MySQL, Elasticsearch, PHPUnit, SOA, PSR-4

We offer

  • Long-term, stable product project - full commitment expected, no parallel projects

  • Direct collaboration with the German team

  • Predictable workload and healthy work environment

  • Interesting technical challenges and a mature, well-maintained codebase

  • Competitive compensation

  • Paid vacation and sick leave

  • Optional business trips to Germany

  • Professional growth within a strong product team

About Corbalt

Corbalt is a technology company that partners with federal agencies to modernize and operate complex technology ecosystems. We build shared platforms, engineering foundations, and reusable services that enable mission teams to deliver software faster, operate more efficiently, and scale with confidence.

Our roots trace back to the Healthcare.gov recovery effort, where we saw firsthand what talented, mission-driven teams could accomplish together. That experience shaped how we work today: solving complex technical challenges through collaboration, pragmatic engineering, and a relentless focus on delivering value.

Today, we support critical healthcare modernization efforts at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), helping build and operate the platforms, tools, and services that enable teams across Medicare and Medicaid to deliver secure, resilient digital experiences.

We’re a remote-first team that values curiosity, kindness, ownership, and continuous learning. We enjoy solving hard technical problems, partnering closely with our clients, and building technology that makes government work better for the people who rely on it.

Contingent Position: This position is contingent upon Corbalt’s successful contract award. Employment offers and start dates are dependent on the award of the associated government contract.

Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building reliable platforms, and working closely with a collaborative team. You’ll design, build, and improve shared services and engineering capabilities that support critical government systems, helping product teams deliver secure, scalable software more effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing teammates’ code
  • Writing design docs to communicate ideas

Skills

  • Ability to own a project and push it forward
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with engineering best practices

Experience

  • Intrinsic motivation to learn, grow, and do great work
  • Kindness
  • Grit / perseverance / resilience

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is: $126,594 - $166,412 per year.

In addition to the base salary, Corbalt offers:

  • Medical, dental, vision benefits
  • Profit sharing and discretionary bonuses
  • A company 401(k) contribution equal to 3% of your salary
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays
  • Reimbursement for reasonable expenses that are helpful for work
  • In-person company retreats

Hiring Process

  • The first stage is an informal conversation to learn more about each other, answer questions, and discuss the role.
  • The second stage is a mini-project based on something we’ve actually worked on. The goal of this is to get an idea of what working together is like.
  • The last stage is: a 10-20 minute presentation to the team describing what you did on a previous project and two 30 minute conversations with other people on the team to get an additional perspective on what our work is like.

Other Requirements

  • Due to contractual requirements applicants must:
    • Be authorized to work in the United States
    • Currently reside in the United States or its territories
    • Have resided in the United States or its territories for three of the last five years
    • Have at least three years of professional experience
  • Due to contractual and security requirements, all work must be performed while physically present within the United States or its territories. Work performed while outside the U.S. or its territories is strictly forbidden.
  • Corbalt participates in E-Verify. Upon hire, your Form I-9 information will be provided to the federal government to confirm you are authorized to work in the United States.

Corbalt is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. Location: Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the office

Office: Budapest, VĂĄci Ășt 144-150, 1138 Hungary

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

At Hawk-Eye, we build technology that powers some of the most exciting and critical moments in sport, from instant replays and broadcast augmentation to officiating systems trusted by leagues, federations, broadcasters, and millions of fans worldwide.

Our HawkAI team builds the foundational machine learning infrastructure that powers the future of sports intelligence. You won’t be handed a fully scoped brief; instead, you’ll work closely with ML engineers to figure out what a credible first pass looks like, making high-leverage architectural choices and proving out new product opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build-from-Zero Applications: Move across the entire stack to design, build, and deploy the first working software applications and services powered by the HawkAI Engine.

  • Bridge ML and Product: Translate complex ML models and real-time data pipelines into responsive, high-throughput APIs and intuitive user interfaces.

What We’re Looking For

  • Versatile Full-Stack Expertise: Broad hands-on experience moving fluidly across backend, frontend, and deployment, specifically with Java, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, and modern responsive web technologies (HTML5/CSS3).

  • AWS & Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying end-to-end cloud solutions on AWS infrastructure.

  • CI/CD & DevOps: Proven capability deploying production-ready CI/CD pipelines using Docker and GitHub Actions.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not an ML Engineering Role: You will work directly with ML engineers, but your focus is building product services on top of their models.

  • Not a Management Role: This is a dedicated, high-impact individual contributor position.

  • Not a Long-Term Maintenance Role: You focus on turning 0 to 1; once opportunities are proven, dedicated teams scale and maintain them.
